Ministries
Connect with the Richmond community at one of our regular ministries, from monthly home-cooked lunches to weekly parent and preschooler groups.
Community
Lunch on the Hill
Is a place where we facilitate community and kai. We share lunch together on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. Come for a cuppa and catch up at 11:30am or midday for lunch. You’ll receive a warm welcome, and a hot meal as well as a snippet from the Bible.
Home Groups
Our church has a number of groups who meet through the week to draw one another on in faith. Each group looks slightly different, but they all aim to help people grow in their love of God and each other. If you’d like to know more about these groups enquire here.
Prayer Meetings
Prayer is a wonderful privilege. When we pray we speak to the creator of the whole universe. We meet monthly for a time of structured prayer where we pray for the Global church, the World, New Zealand, and ourselves. These meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month with two available times:
1-2pm or 7-8pm.
AAW
The Anglican Association of women aims to unite women in prayer and participate in the mission of the Church and to promote, safeguard and nurture Christian family life.
It is a place of friendship and fellowship. We have two very strong AAW groups who meet once a month on the third Thursday in the church hall. The afternoon meeting is at 1.30pm and the evening meeting at 7.30pm. All ladies are welcome to attend.
Kids
Friends n Fun
This is a place for family members to bring their little ones to sing, play, and get to know each other. We meet during school terms and every session includes 30 minutes of music and movement.
We meet on Mondays and Fridays 9:30am – 12 pm.
Kids Programme
On Sunday mornings we love to open the Bible with kids. This programme takes place at our 10:00am service and hopes to see our young people more connected to God and each other. All of our kids start in the main church building, and then will come out to this programme after a kid’s spot especially for them.
We take ministry to children and young people seriously; our kids programme is a SafeHere compliant ministry. To read more about the standards we adhere to in our ministries, and how to raise a concern if you believe they have been breached click here.
Seniors
Tea and Talk
Tea and Talk takes place at the Richmond Seniors Hall, 62 Oxford Street on Wednesdays 10am–11:30am. It’s a place to connect with someone who is keen to chat and get to know you.
It costs $3 for sausage rolls and homemade baking and is run in conjunction with Age Concern for those over 65.
We also visit one on one, have services in rest homes and aged-care facilities and make communion available at home for people who aren’t able to join us in person.
